Star Cross Stitch

I have completed the outline of my Star Cross Stitch knot.

When I submitted an earlier scan to my Scraps Folder I underestimated the number of stitches the completed project will take. It is 9.5" from tip to tip, so big it doesn't fit on the scanner, and there are 20, not 14, stitches per inch. I started this so long ago I forgot the fabric count. Anyway, (9.5*9.5)*(20*20)=36,100 stitches. Of course, here I'm defining "stitch" as a completed X, which requires the needle to go through the fabric four times...estimating now that I can do an X in 6 seconds, when I'm really moving, the project should require just over 60 hours labor. Sounds like a lot, but when I realized that some of my files relating to this project are over a year old, I wonder why so little progress has been made.
